Rishabh Pant is set to fly to New Zealand next week and is expected to be fit for the first Test in Wellington starting November 19. Pant recently shared a video of himself batting comfortably at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence following rehabilitation for a side strain, though he will miss the third India 'A' match in Lincoln.
Tilak Varma has joined the India 'A' squad as Pant's replacement, while Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja are scheduled to play in the match for Test preparation. Fast bowler Prasidh Krishna is also slated to feature in the fixture to regain match fitness after recovering from a hamstring strain.
