BCCI issues major update on Asia Cup trophies after India’s refusal to accept them from Mohsin Naqvi

BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia addressed the controversy surrounding India's refusal to collect Asia Cup trophies from ACC president Mohsin Naqvi. India Women won the 2026 Women's Asia Cup final on September 13 in Dubai, defeating Sri Lanka Women by 72 runs, but declined to accept the trophy during the presentation.

Speaking to PTI Videos, Saikia refrained from direct comment on the dispute, describing it as an institutional decision while emphasizing on-field success. The BCCI had previously informed the ACC of its stance, following an earlier incident where Suryakumar Yadav's men's team also declined to collect their trophy from Naqvi.
