The Bangladesh pacer has been named in the Test squad for the one-off match against Afghanistan in Abu Dhabi, following a productive county spell with Kent.
Bangladesh have selected pace bowler Khaled Ahmed in their Test squad for the upcoming one-off match against Afghanistan, scheduled to take place from October 9 to 13, 2026, at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. His call-up follows a successful County Championship campaign with Kent in England, where he claimed 16 wickets in three appearances to help the club earn promotion to Division One.
Speaking on his preparations, Khaled highlighted the challenge of adjusting from English weather to the intense heat of Abu Dhabi. The fast bowler also praised the Bangladesh Cricket Board for recent improvements to the domestic structure, including the introduction of baggy caps in first-class cricket.
