Pant continues to recover from a left side strain and could still feature in the third unofficial Test against New Zealand A

Rishabh Pant has been ruled out of the first two unofficial Tests of India A's upcoming tour of New Zealand due to a left side strain. Jharkhand wicketkeeper Kumar Kushagra has been named as his replacement in the India A squad. The injury occurred during the recent Irani Cup while Pant was captaining Rest of India.
Pant is recovering under the BCCI medical team's supervision, with a decision regarding his availability for the third unofficial Test scheduled for November 7 to be made later. The India A squad, captained by Dhruv Jurel, departs on October 16, with matches taking place in Lincoln and Christchurch.
