Chasing a target of 183, Pakistan reached 187/6 in 18.5 overs to secure a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. Farhan combined with Maaz Sadaqat, who struck 50 off 29 balls, in a decisive 92-run second-wicket partnership.

Earlier, Sri Lanka posted 182/8 behind opener Lahiru Udara's 91 off 55 deliveries. Recalled fast bowler Naseem Shah led Pakistan's attack with 3/36, while debutant Mohammad Imran claimed 2/21. Despite late wickets from Maheesh Theekshana, Pakistan completed the chase with seven balls to spare.
