Bangladesh batter Mushfiqur Rahim is expected to return for the second Test against West Indies starting on November 5 in Sylhet. The veteran wicketkeeper-batter missed the opening Test in Mirpur on October 28 after sustaining a contusion to his right index finger during training.
National team physio Bayjedul Islam Khan stated that Rahim is expected to recover within three days. Towhid Hridoy was named as Rahim's replacement in the playing XI for the series opener, where captain Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and elected to bat.
