Namibia overpower Ireland in series decider

Namibia defeated Ireland by five wickets in the fifth one-day international in Windhoek to secure a 3-2 series victory. After winning the toss and batting, Ireland was bowled out for 129 in 33.1 overs, with Jordan Neill top-scoring on 33. Namibia reached the target with ease, finishing on 131-5 in 21.2 overs.

JJ Smit starred with the ball for the hosts, taking 4-20, while Jack Brassell claimed three wickets. In response, Louren Steenkamp scored 46 and captain Gerhard Erasmus added 30 to guide Namibia home, despite Matthew Humphreys taking two wickets. Ireland captain Lorcan Tucker acknowledged his side was outplayed but noted they learned valuable lessons ahead of upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
