Virat Singh and Aditya Singh each scored centuries to help Jharkhand post a commanding total of 587 against Kerala in their Ranji Trophy match at the Keenan Stadium. Resuming from an overnight score of 289 for five, the pair shared a massive 227-run sixth-wicket partnership that dominated the first two sessions of day two. Virat scored 108 runs, while Aditya posted 147 to achieve his maiden first-class century.
Kerala struggled with the ball after pacer Edhen Apple Tom was sidelined by injury, increasing the bowling burden on the rest of the attack. Off-spinner Vaisakh Chandran eventually broke the partnership by removing Virat and went on to claim a five-wicket haul with figures of 5 for 166 as Jharkhand was dismissed late on the second day.
