The team will stay in the country to play Afghanistan in three T20Is and two Tests

Sikandar Raza will captain Zimbabwe in one-day cricket during their upcoming tour of the UAE as Richard Ngarava recovers from a back injury. The tour begins with an ODI tri-series against Afghanistan and Bangladesh on October 17, followed by three T20Is and two Tests against Afghanistan.
Zimbabwe included potential debutants Tafadzwa Tsiga and Vincent Masekesa in both white-ball squads while dropping Graeme Cremer from the ODI roster. Innocent Kaia is sidelined with a thigh injury until the T20I series, while Blessing Muzarabani will lead the bowling attack alongside Brad Evans.
