Pant is recovering from a side strain at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru and will sit out the Lincoln fixture starting November 7.
Rishabh Pant has been ruled out of India A's third four-day fixture against New Zealand A in Lincoln starting November 7 due to a side strain. Pant failed to receive fitness clearance at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru and will miss the entire three-match series. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja have joined the India A squad to gain red-ball match sharpness, with Tilak Varma replacing Pant.
Pant's availability for the upcoming two-Test series beginning November 19 in Wellington depends on an upcoming Return to Play assessment. In other team news, New Zealand batter Devon Conway was ruled out of the remaining ODIs against India after suffering a concussion during training, with Nick Kelly called up as his replacement.
