Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in trouble as New Zealand prepare plans to counter him

New Zealand fast bowler Jacob Duffy revealed that his team has developed tactical plans to counter Indian batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi ahead of their upcoming five-match T20I series, which begins on October 22. Duffy acknowledged the teenager's striking ability and high strike rate during IPL 2026, but noted that New Zealand's bounce and conditions will present a new challenge for the young batter.

Duffy also praised veteran Indian seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who returns to international cricket after nearly four years away. Having shared a dressing room with Kumar at Royal Challengers Bengaluru during IPL 2026, Duffy commended his swing, control, and ability to read batters ahead of the bilateral series.
