Former Formula 1 driver and Sky Sports F1 pundit Anthony Davidson was left stunned by Lance Stroll's unusual driving technique during second practice at Sepang. Onboard footage showed the Aston Martin driver forcefully yanking his steering wheel multiple times entering Turn 12. Davidson described the deliberately aggressive steering as bizarre and struggled to find an explanation for the move during the session.
Stroll turned in and out four times before committing to the corner, running off the racing line and leaving tyre marks before heavily locking up both front wheels on pit entry. Davidson compared the approach to Fernando Alonso's famous aggressive turn-in style during his championship years with Renault in the mid-2000s.
