British racing star gifts Rolex watch to driver who saved his life in fireball crash

British racing driver Ollie Millroy reunited with Dutch GT racer Loek Hartog in Amsterdam to gift him a Rolex watch as a token of gratitude. Hartog saved Millroy's life on September 5 during a Chinese GT Championship race at the Shanghai International Circuit. After Millroy's Ferrari 296 GT3 caught fire following a violent crash, Hartog pulled over his Porsche, grabbed a fire extinguisher, and pulled Millroy from the burning car.

Millroy sustained multiple serious injuries, including broken ribs, a fractured collarbone, and bruised lungs, but is now recuperating after undergoing surgeries. Following their meeting in the Netherlands, the two drivers announced plans to collaborate on enhancing motorsport fire safety standards and track response protocols.
