Audi has announced that long-serving team manager Beat Zehnder will leave the Formula 1 organisation at the end of December 2026. The 60-year-old departs following an operational restructuring ahead of the 2027 season, concluding a decorated 39-year tenure with the Hinwil-based squad across its sportscar and Formula 1 eras.
Zehnder originally joined Peter Sauber's team as a mechanic in 1988 before transitioning to Formula 1 in 1993, later serving as team manager and sporting director for 601 consecutive grands prix. He most recently worked as the Director of Signature Programs and Operations, overseeing heritage activities during the team's transition into the Audi works outfit.
