The track layout for the Monaco Grand Prix will NOT be changing in a bid to promote more overtaking.

Automobile Club of Monaco president Michel Boeri confirmed the Monaco Grand Prix track layout will not be modified to promote overtaking. The decision rejects suggestions to alter the iconic street circuit, dashing ideas previously discussed by drivers including Monaco native Charles Leclerc, who had suggested potential adjustments before the tunnel to create longer straights.
Speaking to Nice-Matin, Boeri stated that demolishing or moving infrastructure would trigger FIA re-homologation concerns. Leclerc also noted that holding sprint races in Monaco adds little value due to the extreme difficulty of overtaking on the narrow circuit.
