Fernando Alonso has branded drivers towards the back of the F1 grid "very low" quality.

Fernando Alonso criticized Alex Albon following their opening-lap collision at the United States Grand Prix in Austin, labeling drivers at the back of the Formula 1 grid as "very low" quality. Alonso claimed the contact left his Aston Martin heavily damaged, destroying half of the car's floor and ruining what he felt was his best race performance of the season.
Alonso finished the race in 16th place, while Albon crossed the line in 17th with front wing damage after stewards opted not to penalize the move. Albon defended his driving, stating that racing Alonso is always fun and explaining that he tried to avoid contact by taking to the curb after the space pinched on the inside.
