The FIA has confirmed a 30-place grid penalty for Red Bull star Max Verstappen ahead of Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix.

The FIA has confirmed that Red Bull driver Max Verstappen received a 30-place grid penalty ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix. The penalty follows Verstappen exceeding component allowances by taking a fifth internal combustion engine, fifth turbocharger, and fifth exhaust set. After qualifying in 16th position during Saturday's wet session, Verstappen will start the race from 21st on the grid.
Several other drivers also received grid penalties in Sao Paulo, including Sergio Perez, Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc, and George Russell. Under sporting regulations, drivers exceeding 15 cumulative penalty places are relegated to the back of the grid, with their relative order decided by qualifying results. Consequently, Hamilton starts ahead of Verstappen and Perez.
