George Russell has eluded to suffering with 'off track' troubles on the weekend of his stunning Singapore Grand Prix win in 2025

Mercedes driver George Russell revealed he dealt with undisclosed off-track issues and personal struggles during his victory at the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix. Speaking with Austrian broadcaster ORF Sport while viewing photos of his celebrations with partner Carmen Mundt, Russell explained that his brain was quite busy and praised Mundt for supporting him through challenging moments behind the scenes.
The reflection comes during a difficult 2026 campaign where Russell trails teammate Kimi Antonelli by 102 points in the drivers' championship standings. Antonelli, who has claimed eight race wins this season compared to Russell's three, enters the upcoming race in Austin with an opportunity to clinch the title.
