Kimi Antonelli revealed he had to slow down on the final lap of the Mexico City Grand Prix because he was crying and could not see clearly ahead. The 20-year-old Italian driver lost nearly two seconds to the leaders during the final lap as he feared crashing before securing his first Formula 1 world title.
Antonelli finished third in the race, which was sufficient to make him the youngest world champion in Formula 1 history. The achievement came just five years after he transitioned from karting to car racing.
