Haas officially confirmed on Thursday that Rafael Camara is set to make his Formula 1 debut in 2027.

Haas has officially announced that 21-year-old Brazilian driver Rafael Camara will make his Formula 1 debut in 2027. Camara signed a multi-year contract with the American team, where he is set to replace Esteban Ocon. The Ferrari Driver Academy member is currently the sole confirmed rookie on the 2027 grid and is poised to partner Oliver Bearman.
Camara currently leads the Formula 2 standings with Invicta Racing after winning the Formula 3 title with Trident in 2025 and the FRECA championship in 2024. Team principal Ayao Komatsu cited Camara's impressive performance during a three-day evaluation test in Portimao driving the VF-25 as a deciding factor in awarding him the seat.
