Lando Norris has offered an honest assessment of McLaren’s last two race weekends, stating that he and the team have “underperformed” and “need to do a better job” moving forward.

Lando Norris expressed hope that McLaren has resolved the straight-line speed issues that hindered his performance in recent races at Baku and Sepang. Speaking ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix at Marina Bay Street Circuit, the British driver admitted that both he and the team have underperformed and need to do a better job to recapture their earlier mid-season form.
McLaren struggled for raw pace against Red Bull, Mercedes, and Ferrari across the last two rounds, with neither Norris nor teammate Oscar Piastri reaching the podium. McLaren currently sits third in the constructors' standings on 316 points, trailing leaders Mercedes and second-placed Ferrari.
