F1 team Haas says Estaban Ocon will "no longer compete on its behalf in the 2026 world championship" after he was dropped for the Mexico Grand Prix.

Haas has permanently dropped Esteban Ocon for the remainder of the 2026 Formula 1 season following an internal dispute. The French driver will be replaced at the upcoming Sao Paulo Grand Prix by Brazilian rookie Rafael Camara. Team principal Ayao Komatsu stated that the decision was made in the best interest of the team, maintaining that discussions with Ocon remain an internal matter.
Ocon was previously benched during the Mexico City Grand Prix weekend after a dispute regarding tire choices with race engineer Laura Mueller. While French media reported an altercation occurred between Ocon and Komatsu, Ocon categorically denied any physical violence. He is now seeking a reserve role as remaining 2027 race seats appear unavailable.
