Valtteri Bottas endured his ninth retirement of the season at the United States Grand Prix, citing a suspected power-unit issue. The Finnish driver explained that Cadillac Racing continues to experience a steep learning curve and often struggles to fully understand its persistent technical gremlins.
Despite the DNF, Cadillac showed improved pace at Circuit of The Americas, briefly battling with Aston Martin and Williams cars. Bottas noted cooler conditions helped their performance, while teammate Sergio Perez finished twentieth seconds back from the midfield pack after suffering race delays from blue flags.
