Rory Sabbatini ended a 15-year winless streak in PGA Tour-sanctioned events by winning the PGA Tour Champions' Stifel Charity Classic at Norwood Hills Country Club in St. Louis. The South African-born Slovakian rookie overturned a four-shot deficit on the back nine to card a final-round 9-under 62, finishing one stroke ahead of runner-up Darren Clarke.
Sabbatini's closing run featured an eagle on the 15th hole and three straight birdies to finish, including a 40-foot putt at the 18th. The victory marks his maiden senior title following a two-and-a-half-year break from professional golf due to mental exhaustion.
