LIV Golf: Former US Open champion Graeme McDowell confirms exit

Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell has confirmed his departure from LIV Golf, opting not to take part in the upcoming LIV 2.0 revamp scheduled for 2027. The 47-year-old 2010 US Open champion announced his decision on Monday, expressing gratitude for his four years on the breakaway tour while preparing for the next phase of his playing career.

McDowell follows fellow high-profile golfers including Jon Rahm, Louis Oosthuizen, Tom McKibbin, Tyrrell Hatton, and Ian Poulter in exiting the league. LIV Golf filed for bankruptcy protection following the withdrawal of Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund funding in April, and McDowell previously indicated he held positive discussions regarding a potential return to the DP World Tour.
