Davies is GAM Senior Men’s Player Of The Year

Greg Davies of West Bloomfield has been officially named the 2026 GAM Senior Men's Player of the Year by the Golf Association of Michigan. Davies earned 635 points to top the points list following an impressive competitive season across Michigan and national events. The Michigan Golf Hall of Famer reached match play in both the U.S. Senior Amateur and the Michigan Amateur, tied for second in the GAM Senior Championship, and reached the semifinals of the GAM Senior Match Play Championship.

This marks the second Senior Player of the Year honor for the 59-year-old, who previously captured the award in 2023 along with the Men's Player of the Year title in 2006. Finishing behind Davies on the points list were David Vaclav in second place with 355 points and Tom Gieselman in third with 337.5 points. Davies also credited his regular practice at Prestwick Village Golf Club for supporting his strong form throughout the season.
