Grant Forrest got up-and-down for birdie on the reachable par-4 18th for a 2-under 70 and a one-shot victory in the Spanish Open, earning the 33-year-old from Scotland his first trip to Augusta National for the Masters.

Scotland's Grant Forrest secured a one-shot victory at the Spanish Open in Madrid after carding a 2-under 70 in the final round. Tied with Victor Perez entering the 18th hole, Forrest birdied the par-4 closing hole to finish at 14-under 270. The dramatic win earned the 33-year-old his first career invitation to the Masters at Augusta National, as well as a spot in the Open Championship.
Perez and Madrid native Eugenio Chacarra tied for second place, with Chacarra shooting a 66 after stumbling with a bogey on the 17th. Denmark's Jacob Skov Olesen finished fourth following a late bogey. The triumph marked Forrest's third career DP World Tour title, coming after a difficult stretch where he missed eight cuts in nine starts.
