Thai golfer and cult hero Kiradech Aphibarnrat had a tough week on the DP World Tour. On Friday, his emotions poured out.

Kiradech Aphibarnrat expressed deep remorse to his family and fans after a back injury forced him to withdraw from the Genesis Championship in South Korea. The Thai golfer opened the tournament with an opening-round 75 before stopping after nine holes on Friday, ending his regular season and failing to secure his DP World Tour playing privileges for 2027.
Ranked 108th in the Race to Dubai standings, Aphibarnrat needed a top-26 finish to avoid relegation and secure his card. Following the withdrawal, the four-time DP World Tour winner confirmed he faces another trip to the qualifying school gauntlet, expressing confidence that he can battle through it once again.
