LIV Golf's most recent bankruptcy court filings are a reminder of just how much money it takes to run a flashy golf league.

Thousands of pages of bankruptcy filings submitted across LIV Golf's international entities have detailed the full scale of the league's extensive debts and spending. The documents list assets and liabilities ranging from small operational expenses to millions of dollars owed to star golfers, including Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau. The filings follow the Saudi Public Investment Fund's decision to stop funding the league, leading to widespread restructuring under CEO Scott O'Neil.
The records also document significant prior payouts, including quarterly sums of nearly $5 million to Rahm and over $9 million in settlement and bonus payments to former CEO Greg Norman. Independent directors Eugene Davis and Jon Zinman were brought in at $150,000 per month to manage the restructuring. Numerous obligations, including potential sums owed to Phil Mickelson and ongoing lawsuit claimants, remain officially listed as undetermined.
