Internationals build commanding Bridges Cup lead with singles showdown next

The International team built a commanding 12.5-7.5 lead over the United States on Tuesday at Trump Turnberry in Scotland, putting the Americans' undefeated Bridges Cup run in jeopardy. Entering the day ahead 6.5-3.5, the Internationals expanded their margin by winning both the four-ball and foursomes sessions 3-2 on the Ailsa Course ahead of Wednesday's final singles showdown.

To capture their first Bridges Cup, the Internationals need to earn at least four points from the remaining 12 singles matches. Meanwhile, the defending champion Americans require 8.5 points to retain the trophy after previously winning the tournament in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
