The United States hasn't won a Ryder Cup on European soil since 1993.
United States captain Jim Furyk has embraced the underdog label for Team USA ahead of the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor in Ireland. Facing a 34-year drought on European soil dating back to 1993, Furyk announced he will ask his players to do more than any previous American squad to end their losing streak.
Furyk and European captain Luke Donald visited Adare Manor to begin the event countdown. In addition to targeting improvements in foursomes play, Furyk indicated an openness to reconciling with Patrick Reed should the golfer qualify for the squad.
