Jon Rahm set to make post-LIV return to pro golf

Two-time major champion Jon Rahm is set to make his first professional start since leaving LIV Golf at the Abu Dhabi Championship. The tournament runs November 5-8 at Yas Links in Abu Dhabi on the DP World Tour. Rahm's departure from LIV comes following court proceedings in LIV Golf's Chapter 11 bankruptcy, where his legal team rejected terms for participating in LIV 2.0 in 2027.

With an immediate PGA Tour return currently impossible, Rahm is shifting focus to playing the DP World Tour full time. His move coincides with the DP World Tour announcing a ban on LIV 2.0 players for 2027, which also eliminates their Ryder Cup eligibility. Following Abu Dhabi, Rahm is anticipated to compete in the season-ending DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.
