As LIV Golf sinks, Rory McIlroy recalled his decision with Tiger Woods to stay on the PGA Tour and looked to the future of a unified pro golf world.

Rory McIlroy expressed belief that LIV Golf's threat to traditional professional golf is over as the circuit navigates Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Speaking at the Bloomberg New Economy Forum in New Delhi, McIlroy argued that much of the capital invested into LIV Golf was wasted rather than used strategically with governing bodies. His comments follow player departures including Jon Rahm, David Puig, Adrian Meronk, and the termination of Sergio Garcia's contract.
McIlroy stated that he would welcome defecting players back to the PGA Tour to benefit the business of golf. Meanwhile, DP World Tour CEO Guy Kinnings announced that participants who join a potential LIV 2.0 will be barred from playing on the European tour.
