McKibbin one off lead in Delhi with McIlroy in contention

Northern Ireland's Tom McKibbin sits just one shot off the lead after a weather-disrupted opening round at the DP World India Championship in New Delhi. Denmark's Niklas Norgaard posted a six-under-par 66 to top the leaderboard, holding a one-stroke advantage over McKibbin, Eugenio Chacarra, and Thomas Detry. Severe weather caused a five-hour delay, leaving multiple competitors unable to complete or start their rounds.

World number two Rory McIlroy carded a two-under-par round to sit four shots behind leader Norgaard alongside Tommy Fleetwood. McKibbin recorded six birdies and one bogey during his round of 67, putting him firmly in contention alongside Chacarra and Detry at Delhi Golf Club.
