The Story in 60 Seconds

American golfer Sean Crocker delivered a dramatic back-nine performance during the final round of the Genesis Championship at Woo Jeong Hills Country Club to preserve his DP World Tour card. Entering the regular-season finale ranked 103rd in the Race to Dubai, Crocker carded four consecutive birdies on holes 15 through 18 to post a final-round 68. His surge allowed him to finish in the 100th and final qualifying position for 2027 tour playing privileges.

Crocker had struggled on the front nine with three bogeys before recovering, motivated by the desire to secure financial stability for his family and avoid traveling to Q-School. Japan's Yuta Katsuragawa won the tournament, while Crocker's card-saving finish was confirmed after non-member Sanghun Shin finished three strokes behind the winner.
