PGA Tour players have provided their first feedback on Titleist's newly introduced 2027 Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls during the Baycurrent Classic in Japan. Titleist has not officially disclosed the technical modifications from previous models, but 12 players in the 72-player field put the new models in play this week. The equipment initially appeared on the USGA conforming list three weeks earlier.

Several players noted noticeable performance changes, including Jordan Spieth, who switched to the 2027 Pro V1 to help manage spin rates. Sahith Theegala reported slightly lower launch angles and enhanced spin on short-game pitch shots.
