The Story in 60 Seconds

Baltimore Orioles pitching prospect JT Quinn displayed mid-rotation upside during his professional debut season in 2026, writes Tyler Young of Camden Chat. Quinn, selected 69th overall in the 2025 draft out of Georgia, bypassed Low-A entirely and logged 116.2 innings across High-A Frederick and Double-A Chesapeake. The 22-year-old starter posted a 3.39 ERA and struck out 129 batters in 26 appearances.

Young notes that while Quinn's electric fastball and sharp slider powered his success, long-term rotation viability depends on developing his changeup and refining command. After posting a 1.96 ERA over five starts at Double-A, Quinn is expected to open 2027 with Chesapeake before pushing for a promotion to Triple-A Norfolk.
