The Red Sox are in desperate need of proven power in the heart of their lineup.

Boston.com's Conor Ryan suggests five offensive targets the Boston Red Sox could pursue this offseason to inject power into their lineup. After finishing 2026 ranked 23rd in runs scored and 26th in home runs, chief baseball officer Craig Breslow stated the team must focus on improving the offense and building a roster designed to thrive at Fenway Park.
Ryan identifies free agents Seiya Suzuki, Randy Arozarena, and Brandon Lowe as potential additions to provide proven slugging. He also names Cincinnati Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz and Colorado Rockies catcher Hunter Goodman as major trade candidates who could transform Boston's offensive depth.
