Red Sox fans reminisce on Kiké Hernández’s 2021 run as he ties David Ortiz with insane milestone

Kiké Hernández hit his 17th career postseason home run during NLDS Game 3, helping the Los Angeles Dodgers defeat the Atlanta Braves 3-1 on October 6. The two-run blast off pitcher Chris Sale moved Hernández into a tie with Boston Red Sox legend David Ortiz, Jim Thome, and Aaron Judge on the all-time playoff home run list.

Hernández previously hit five postseason home runs for the Red Sox during their 2021 ALCS run. Katie Manganelli notes that despite a modest career regular season slash line, Hernández significantly elevates his offensive production in October across 25 postseason series.
