Shelley Duncan, a former Yankees minor league manager and 2025 International League Manager of the Year, has been hired to join Chad Tracy's Red Sox coaching staff.
The Boston Red Sox have hired Shelley Duncan to join manager Chad Tracy's major league coaching staff, according to multiple industry sources. Duncan, who is 47 and reportedly close with Tracy, most recently served as the Triple-A manager for the New York Yankees affiliate in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. His exact role and title on Boston's staff have not yet been determined.
Duncan was named the International League Manager of the Year in 2025 and previously held coaching roles with the Toronto Blue Jays and Chicago White Sox. His hiring follows the addition of Jason Bell from the Houston Astros organization as Boston restructures its major league staff.
