The Chicago White Sox defeated the Colorado Rockies 4-2 on Sunday at Rate Field to secure a 2-1 series victory in their regular season finale. Randal Grichuk hit a two-run homer followed immediately by a two-run shot from Brenton Doyle in the third inning to overturn an early 1-0 deficit.
Anthony Kay earned the win by allowing one run over five innings, while Trevor Richards pitched 3.1 innings to record his second save. Cole Carrigg hit a solo home run for Colorado in the eighth inning, and Rockies starter Kyle Freeland took the loss after surrendering four earned runs in four innings.
