White Sox To Hire Matt Roffe As Scouting Director

The Chicago White Sox are set to hire Matt Roffe as their new scouting director, according to reports from The Athletic. The organization is expected to formally announce the hiring next week. Roffe arrives in Chicago shortly after winning the 2026 World Series as part of the Milwaukee Brewers' front office, where he served most recently as assistant director of domestic scouting.

Roffe replaces Mike Shirley, who resigned from his position in September following an internal investigation into verbal harassment allegations. In his new role, Roffe will reunite with White Sox assistant general manager Josh Barfield, whom he previously worked alongside in the Arizona Diamondbacks' front office from 2019 to 2021 under general manager Chris Getz.
