The Cincinnati Reds are entering a key offseason that will center around some rather bold Elly De La Cruz trade rumors, and more realistically around what the Reds can acquire in the months ahead to make the team better around…

The Cincinnati Reds have allowed veteran shortstops Orlando Arcia and Garrett Hampson to reach minor league free agency following the expiration of their contracts. Both players were included on a extensive list of minor leaguers whose deals expired five days after the World Series, officially releasing them into free agency.
Arcia, an All-Star and World Series champion, joined the Reds system after batting .271 across 19 games with the Twins. Meanwhile, Hampson spent the season playing at Triple-A Louisville, where he posted a .242 batting average without earning a major league call-up.
