The Cincinnati Reds made two pitching additions to the 40-man roster after making a pair of waiver claims.

The Cincinnati Reds have claimed pitchers Paxton Schultz off waivers from the Washington Nationals and Duncan Davitt from the San Francisco Giants. The additions expand Cincinnati's 40-man roster to 37 players as the team looks to bolster pitching depth ahead of next season.
Both Schultz and Davitt are pre-arbitration eligible and hold minor league options remaining. Meanwhile, writer Drew Koch notes that Cincinnati is still seeking replacements for former pitching coach and director of pitching Derek Johnson, who was dismissed following the 2026 campaign.
