The Cleveland Guardians manager announced unfortunate news on RP Colin Holderman ahead of the team's NLDS matchup against the Chicago White Sox.

Cleveland Guardians relief pitcher Colin Holderman will undergo season-ending right wrist surgery ahead of the ALDS, manager Stephen Vogt announced. The 30-year-old right-hander had been sidelined since early September and attempted to ramp up throwing after an injection, but his 2026 season is now officially over.
Holderman revived his career during his first season in Cleveland, posting a 6-4 record with a 2.73 ERA and 1.04 WHIP after signing a one-year, $1.5 million deal. With Holderman out, the Guardians will lean on bullpen arms Cade Smith, Hunter Gaddis, and Erik Sabrowski when facing the Chicago White Sox.
