Cleveland Guardians outfield prospect Jaison Chourio is set to make his Venezuelan Winter League season debut on Sunday with Águilas del Zulia. The 21-year-old switch-hitter returns to his hometown team in Maracaibo for his fourth stint in the league following the conclusion of the minor league campaign.
Chourio spent the 2026 season between High-A Lake County and Double-A Akron, batting .274 with nine home runs and 42 stolen bases in 115 games. A strong winter showing could position the younger brother of Milwaukee Brewers star Jackson Chourio for a promotion to Triple-A Columbus in 2027.
