Colorado Rockies catching prospect Jack O'Dowd is showcasing an impressive power surge in the Arizona Fall League for the Salt River Rafters. Through his first 10 games, the 25-year-old has slashed .350/.381/.825 with five home runs and 12 RBIs, which included the league's first multi-homer performance of the season against Peoria.
After going undrafted out of the University of Texas in 2024 and playing independent baseball, O'Dowd progressed through Single-A Fresno, High-A Spokane, and Double-A Hartford during the regular season. He is utilizing advanced technology like the Trajekt Arc machine in the Fall League to refine his swing and focus primarily on catching.
