The Story in 60 Seconds

Purple Row ranked infielder Ryan Ritter at No. 35 in its 'Ranking the Rockies' series after he logged a -0.1 rWAR during the 2026 season. The 25-year-old appeared in only 13 major league games for Colorado, batting .158 with three singles, eight strikeouts, and one RBI across 19 at-bats before being optioned.

Despite hitting .323 with a .430 on-base percentage in 60 games for Triple-A Albuquerque, Ritter continued to struggle translating that production to the majors. Zeke Perez Jr. notes that while Ritter remains an intriguing organizational depth option, his long-term path to a regular role with Colorado is increasingly unclear.
