Chase DeLauter's error in right field opened the door for the Rays in the pivotal seventh inning, and Tampa Bay went on to win 7-3 to even the ALCS at 2-2.

Cleveland Guardians right fielder Chase DeLauter took full responsibility for a costly fielding error during a 7-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 4 of the American League Championship Series on Saturday. Trailing 2-1 in the seventh inning, DeLauter let a Jonathan Aranda single roll under his glove, allowing two runs to score and Aranda to reach third base, before Aranda scored on a sacrifice fly.
Guardians manager Stephen Vogt noted the ball appeared to snake or skip by DeLauter, while teammate Travis Bazzana defended his strong outfield play throughout the season. DeLauter expressed regret after the defeat but emphasized focusing on the tied series and returning better for the next home game.
