The Detroit Tigers quietly signed a 30-year-old amid the Major League Baseball playoffs.

The Detroit Tigers have signed 30-year-old left-handed pitcher Nick Raquet to a two-year minor-league contract, according to Ari Alexander of 7 News. Raquet recently underwent Tommy John surgery and is expected to miss the entire 2027 season during his rehabilitation process.
Raquet originally debuted in the majors with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2025 before pitching four games for the Baltimore Orioles in 2026. Baltimore released the southpaw in September following an elbow injury that brought an end to his 2026 campaign.
